A man who had come to leave his wife at her parental home in DanKaur allegedly lured away his 14-year-old sister-in-law last Monday night, police said.
According to the girl’s father, the accused, Ashok, used to visit their house whenever he came to his in-laws’ place. Over time, he gained the family’s confidence, even exchanging phone calls with them.
On Monday, after dropping his wife, Ashok quietly persuaded the girl—who used to call him “brother-in-law”—to accompany him. When the teenager did not return after several hours, her family searched everywhere for three days. Receiving no trace of her, they finally filed a complaint of abduction at Kotwali police station on Friday.
Inspector-in-charge Munendra Singh said special teams have been formed to locate the minor and arrest the accused.
