Vishwa Bharati Public School (VBPS), Sector-28, Noida, is an English-medium, co-educational Senior Secondary institution situated on a 7-acre green campus opposite the Botanical Garden Metro Station. The school was established in 1981 by the Vishwa Bharati Women Welfare Institution, a registered society committed to the vision of Acharya Vinoba Bhave and inspired by Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore’s philosophy of man-making education. From a modest start of 18 students and 2 teachers, it has grown into a community of nearly 4,200 learners mentored by 230 faculty members and supported by 150 non-teaching staff.

VBPS is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Affiliation No. 2130112, offering Science, Commerce and Humanities streams at the Senior Secondary level. The curriculum is delivered through a blend of student-centric pedagogy, experiential learning projects, house-based competitions and community outreach. Classes are equipped with ICT-enabled smart boards, individual Cambridge English work-stations and high-speed Wi-Fi. An in-house curriculum cell monitors lesson plans and assessment design in line with NEP 2020 guidelines.

Academic excellence is complemented by a remarkably rich co-scholastic programme. Students can opt for Robotics, Astronomy, Financial Literacy, AI and Design Thinking in the Atal Tinkering Lab; perform experiments in the 3-D printing zone; or practise debates in the Language Studio. Music rooms house a full orchestra of western and Indian instruments; separate rooms nurture Kathak, Bharatnatyam and Contemporary Dance; while a 50-seat Audio-Visual Theatre hosts weekly film-club screenings edited by the students themselves. Sports infrastructure includes a semi-Olympic swimming pool with underwater viewing gallery, an international 200 m synthetic athletic track, clay courts for tennis and five flood-lit cricket nets. Over 200 intra-mural tournaments and zonal championships are held every year, and the school has produced five national-level shooters, three junior Wimbledon qualifiers and a Khelo-India archery gold medallist in 2023.

Pastoral care is woven into daily life through the “Sahayak-Mentor” initiative—every teacher keeps a continuous portfolio of 12-15 students and meets families tri-annually. A trained staff of four counsellors, two special educators, a visiting adolescent paediatrician and a speech therapist form the Wellness Team that intervenes early in academic or emotional concerns. The school is the first CBSE institution in Uttar Pradesh to receive the British Council International School Award (ISA) twice and holds ISO 9001:2015 and 14001:2015 certifications for quality and environmental management. Annual student exchange programmes operate with partner schools in Germany, Japan and Namibia, and the Outreach Shiksha Kendra across the road provides free after-school coaching to 400 neighbourhood children, entirely administered by VBPS student volunteers under teacher supervision.

Admission is granted through an online lottery from pre-nursery onwards as per UP State Education Department rules, followed by an interaction to verify age eligibility. Annual fee ranges from ₹1,10,000 to ₹1,60,000 depending on the class, inclusive of books, lab charges, swimming instruction and basic robotics kit, but excluding uniforms and optional overseas trips.
