Step by Step School is an independent, co-educational day school located in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. Established in 1997, the school serves approximately 2,300 students from Nursery through Grade 12 on a single, purpose-built campus. It is affiliated with both the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Organization, allowing learners to choose either the mainstream CBSE track or the internationally oriented IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP).

The campus occupies six acres in Sector 132 of Noida, a short drive from Delhi’s east and south east suburbs. Learning spaces are organised in clusters around a landscaped central courtyard. Academic facilities include more than 70 smart classrooms, four science laboratories, purpose-built design-technology workshops, two libraries holding 30,000 titles, and specialised studios for art, ceramics and sculpture, keyboard and percussion, vocal music, dance and drama. Wireless access and a 1:7 student–device ratio support research and digital assignments, while extensive air conditioning and continuous power back-up ensure year-round comfort.

Beyond the classroom, students have access to an eight-lane 25-metre temperature-controlled swimming pool, a 400-metre athletic track with an international-capacity field-turf surface, two air-conditioned basketball courts, three tennis courts, a badminton hall, and three indoor gymnasia. Yoga and pilates spaces, a climbing wall and a certified eight-bay shooting range further expand offerings. Over 90 per cent of faculty participate in annual professional-development programmes with partners such as Columbia Teachers College, the IB network and the University of Cambridge.

The school’s democratic ethos is embodied in its four core values: integrity, inclusion, curiosity and service. Every child from Grade 4 upward votes for class and house captains who serve on the Student Executive Council. The house system—Ashoka, Patel, Tagore and Vivekanand—organises sports, debate, quiz and environmental competitions. A formal Community & Service curriculum links each grade to sustained civic engagement: primary students partner with a local animal shelter, middle school runs literacy camps for neighbouring government schools, and seniors raise funds for migrant-worker education. More than 300 pupils are certified Action-for-Sustainability leaders through an in-house programme endorsed by WWF-India.

The language of instruction is English, but students learn Hindi from Grade 1 and may add Sanskrit, French or Spanish in higher grades. Assessment is diagnostic rather than merely summative; portfolios, exhibitions and research projects feature more heavily than unit tests. Competitive examination support includes NET and DU cluster coaching embedded in the timetable for Grades 11-12. Alumni currently study in IITs, Delhi University, NID, NLSIU and 27 foreign universities including NYU, Cambridge and Monash, reflecting both academic breadth and international pathways.
