Shri Om Kashyap Lifeline Hospital stands on a 3-acre campus on the western fringe of Industrial Area-II, Rajpur Road, Dehradun, framed by the Shivalik foothills and easy access from both the Delhi–Dehradun highway and the upcoming Rishikesh–Karnaprayag rail spur. Built largely from the personal vision of cardiologist Dr. Om Kashyap after whom it is named, the 200-bed tertiary-care centre opened its doors in March 2021 and within two years earned NABH accreditation by combining cutting-edge infrastructure with deliberately modest tariffs aimed at serving a mixed middle- and lower-middle-class catchment that stretches across Garhwal and the adjoining districts of Uttar Pradesh.
The hospital is laid out in three colour-coded blocks linked by climate-controlled sky-bridges. Block C is the diagnostics spine: 1.5 T MRI with TIM 4G algorithm, 128-slice CT, 4-D colour-vision ultrasound, 800 mA digital X-ray with tomosynthesis, fully automated biochemistry and immunoassay lines capable of 650 tests/hour, and an in-house central blood bank that operates a 24-hour apheresis programme used for both oncology and dengue-CAP management.
Specialist services branch out from these cores. Neurology runs daily “stroke code” protocols through a biplane cath-lab and 8-bed step-down Neuro-ICU; orthopaedics houses an Arthrex-curated arthroscopy unit and an onsite carbon-fiber laminar flow joint-replacement theatre; oncology partners with Tata Memorial Centre Navsari to provide weekly curative intent tele-tumour boards. A 30-chair dialysis bay functions in tandem with nephrology-backed CAPD training rooms, subsidised for EWS under the Mukhyamantri Swasthya Bima Yojana. Emergency, anchored by a 6-bay poly-trauma zone and a ceiling-mounted CT gantry, clocks door-to-angio times averaging 42 minutes, benchmarked internally every month.
To consolidate rural care, the hospital runs eight 4×4 mobile clinics that carry echo, ultrasound, basic blood work, and pharmacy over pre-mapped fortnightly circuits as far as Yamunotri and Chakrata. Its nursing college affiliated to Uttarakhand State Health University offers a three-year GNM programme, and the hospital itself absorbs up to 70 % of each graduating batch.
