Founded in 2012, Shiv Nadar School, Noida is the flagship campus of the Shiv Nadar Foundation’s K-12 network. Strategically located in Sector 93-A, the urban campus spreads across eight acres of land, designed by New Delhi-based education architects moulding brick and glass around collaborative courtyards, STEM maker-spaces, a 500-seat performing-arts centre, and FIFA-grade synthetic turf.

Affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) until Grade 10 and offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) for Grades 11-12, the school also nurtures its own interdisciplinary ‘+1’ track in Creative Studies, developed in partnership with Shiv Nadar University. Average class size is maintained at 22, and the broad sensor-driven classroom ratio is one student device to one educator.

Admission begins with an online form in July followed by aptitude profiling, parent conversation circles, and an immersive day-long ‘Future-Readiness Camp’ where applicants work on socially grounded challenges; 1 700 places are typically fought over for 160 seats in Grade I. Annual fees range from ₹2.12 lakh (Grades 1-5) to ₹3.20 lakh (DP) plus optional transport, meal, and residential-weekend programmes. Generous need-cum-merit fellowships, replenished through the Shiv Nadar Foundation endowment, currently cover 26 % of the student body.

The faculty of 180 is recruited on rolling contracts that provide a one-to-six classroom ratio, international residency at partner schools in Switzerland and Singapore, and a stipend for published classroom research through the ‘SNS Inquiry Lab’. All teachers undergo 120 clock-hours of professional development each year anchored in Design Thinking and Culturally Responsive Pedagogy.

Academically, the school boasts a three-year mean score of 41/45 in the IBDP and a 97 % decade-average in Grade 10 CBSE over 90 % and above in English, Mathematics and Sciences. The continuum curriculum embeds service-learning, public-policy hackathons, and ‘Shiv Siddhi’ leave-each-year sabbaticals for passion projects. Signature programmes include the Bloomberg-backed Finance Lab, an AI & Robotics Centre sourced from MIT FabLab specifications, a Life-Sciences greenhouse that partners with Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, and ‘Stories of Noida’—a 6-week photojournalism fellowship documenting the city’s migrant narratives with Magnum Foundation mentors.

Co-curricular life revolves around nine academies: Beethoven (symphonic band), Za’nak (folk-dance troupe), Mudra (kathak ensemble), and Nirvana Steel (a 45-piece student-led percussion collective that opened the 2023 ICC World Cup warm-ups). The school fields 600 athletes across 16 disciplines; its Under-19 girls’ football squad were 2024 CBSE National champions. MUN, debating, and ethics Olympiad circuits further yield consistent global wins.

Pastoral care runs through a vertical House system where trained counselors, peer mentors, and visiting scholars integrate mindfulness and SEL lesson plans weekly. Over 97 % graduates proceed to Tier-I global universities—arriving at Stanford, NUS, Ashoka, or IITs—having completed the school-mandated Capstone Dissertation and 180 hours of community outreach.

The Alumni Impact Network already numbers 1 500 members across 400 institutions worldwide, returning annually to mentor and seed social enterprises via the Foundation’s ₹1 crore seed fund.
