Sharma Medicare Super Speciality Hospital and Trauma Centre is a 200-bed, NABH- and NABL-accredited tertiary-care facility located on a three-acre campus along the Sitapur–Lucknow national highway. Opened in 2011 by founder-chairman Dr. R. K. Sharma, the hospital was conceived as an integrated medical hub where cutting-edge super-specialties operate round-the-clock alongside a dedicated Level-II trauma centre recognised by the Uttar Pradesh state government.

Architecture & capacity
The L-shaped complex houses two basements, a ground floor, and five clinical floors connected by 12 large OT elevators. Floor-1 houses the 24-bed Medical ICU and 22-bed Surgical ICU; Floor-2 is the exclusive maternal-newborn pavilion with LDR suites and level-III NICU. Floors 3–4 contain 60 private rooms, 20 shared wards, and a 24-bed dialysis unit. A rooftop solar bank provides 24 % of daily electricity needs, while an O2-generation plant with 2,000 L/min capacity ensures pipeline redundancy.

Clinical Departments & Strengths

2. Cardiac Sciences: 2 cath-labs (one bi-plane), daily complex PCI & TAVI programme led by Dr. Shivam Joshi (ex-CMC Vellore). Electrophysiology lab performs radiofrequency ablations and device implants.
3. Neurosciences: 640-channel intra-op neuro-navigation system; DSI-enabled neuromodulation for Parkinson’s; 14-bed neuro ICU with continuous video EEG.
4. Orthopaedics: Computer-navigated joint replacement centre, key-hole sports surgery, and a dedicated barefoot running injury clinic.

Support Systems
Hospital information system (HIS) allows NFC-enabled file retrieval, pre-authorisation, and paperless billing in <30 min. Intercom interpreters in Hindi, English, and Awadhi cater to a predominantly rural catchment. A 24-seat canteen and 300-capacity meditation hall serve attendants. In-house pharmacy stocks 4,300 molecules, negotiated at CGHS rates. RT-PCR lab and Genome-Sequencer IDS were deployed during COVID-19 and remain active for dengue, chikungunya, and monkeypox screening. The green-cred building uses ETFE atrium roofs for natural light, reducing HVAC load by 18 %. Research & Academics Affiliated with Atal Medical University since 2019, the hospital trains 40 DNB residents annually across nine specialties. In 2023, its trauma database was recognised by WHO-Global Injury Registry. Ongoing trials include indigenous INR-stabilising polymer for joint implants and AI-driven eFAST triage system. Community outreach Monthly mega camps in Barabanki district, tele-consult vans with SatCom, and free limb-fitting drives for below-poverty-line children mark its CSR calendar. During the 2022 Lakhimpur floods, a 200-member team provided surgical camps saving 126 limbs in 72 hours. Vision statement “To offer world-class, cost-conscious care rooted in compassion—so no life is lost or compromised because geography or economy said it should be.”
