SAPPHIRE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, SS – 1, Sector 70 Pk Rd, Sector 70, Noida, Basi Bahuddin Nagar, Uttar Pradesh 201301, India
Sapphire International School sits on a 40-acre hillock campus on the eastern edge of Greater Noida, near the Yamuna Expressway, in Uttar Pradesh, India. Established in 2005 by the philanthropic Himalayan Shiksha Kalyan Trust, the school offers a co-educational, boarding & day-boarding journey from Toddler (age 2) through Grade XII. It is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi, and is a Cambridge Assessment International Education centre; students in Grades IX-X can register for IGCSE, while Grades XI-XII may opt for the combination of A-levels or CBSE national syllabus streams in Science, Commerce or Humanities. The learner-teacher ratio of 12:1 and 1:8 for boarding houses allows individual attention in classrooms and 24×7 pastoral care.
Instruction blends enquiry-based liberal arts with technology-integrated academics. A mandated design-thinking curriculum starts at Grade III; from Grade VI every learner maintains a digital portfolio tracked on the school LMS. The campus hosts two fully air-conditioned academic blocks with 94 multipurpose “smart” classrooms, five discovery science laboratories, an Atal Tinkering Lab, a robotics & AI studio by Intel®, a 3-D printing hub and dedicated music, dance and visual-art wings. Language options at senior level include French, German, Spanish and Sanskrit.
Sports infrastructure is built around a 12-station fitness park and 400-m synthetic athletics track. There are two FIFA-standard football grounds, three FIBA-certified basketball courts, an Olympic-size 8-lane swimming pool with a retractable roof, and a National Squash Academy. Horse riding, golf driving range and an adventure education obstacle course accredited by the Indian Army anchor weekend skill-development. Performing arts thrive in the 700-seat Ravi Shankar Auditorium, a black-box theatre, and a fully equipped recording studio partnered with the Shankar Mahadevan Academy.
Residential life is organised into six age-divided houses within the Sapphire Hills Boarding Complex. Boarders live in four-bed “clusters” surrounding a common lounge and study bay; each floor has faculty dorm-parents and nursing care. The school is the first in North India to partner with National Accreditation Board for Hospitals to run an onsite, round-the-clock ISO-certified infirmary with both ambulance and helicopter evacuation tie-up to Sharda Hospital. All meals are cooked in hygienic kitchens audited daily by Sodexo and supervised by an in-house nutritionist.
Over the past decade, Sapphire has produced 23 NTSE scholars, 41 CBSE national toppers, and 19 international sports champions. Alumni attend universities such as the University of Pennsylvania, National University of Singapore, IIT-Bombay and Lady Shri Ram College. Annual boarding fees range from INR 6.5 lakh for Junior School to INR 9.2 lakh for Senior School; merit and need-based scholarships are available via the Sapphire Foundation.
