Om Shanti Om International School (OSOIS) is a CBSE-affiliated, day-boarding-cum-residential campus that opened its gates in 2012 on 32 verdant acres at the edge of the Aravalis in Sohna, Gurugram. Managed by the Om Shanti Om Charitable Trust, the school was conceived with the belief that global competence and rooted values can—and must—grow together. From the outset, OSOIS set out to become more than an academic factory; it wanted to be a nurturing village where children learn to think, serve and shine sustainably.
The academic programme begins in the Early Years at age 3, moves through a concept-rich Primary (I-V), an inter-disciplinary Middle (VI-VIII), the CBSE-consistent Secondary (IX-X) and culminates in a choice-rich Senior Secondary (XI-XII) offering Science, Commerce and Humanities streams. In the last two years, students can also opt for the IBDP capstone courses run in parallel. All classes are capped at 25 pupils; faculty-to-student ratios of 1:10 ensure personalised mentoring. The timetable reserves daily “Enrichment Blocks” for coding, robotics, foreign languages, design thinking and sustainability labs, delivered through partnerships with Microsoft, IIT-Delhi and Green School Bali. Board averages remain above 92 %, and more than one in three seniors qualifies for IIT/NIT or Top-50 global universities.
A signature strength is OSOIS Performing-and-Visual-Arts Academy. A 550-seat amphitheatre, an AR/VR enabled filmmaking studio, seven sound-proof music pods and a 180 m open-air sculpture walk provide the backdrop for training with resident maestros from FTII and the National School of Drama. Music and art are woven into the core timetable for all grades; every child must mount a solo exhibition or public recital every 18 months.
Sport Activities at Om Shanti Om International School
Athletics are equally distinctive. State-recognised cricket, football and hockey academies operate alongside Olympic-length 50 m pool, shooting range, climbing wall and horse-riding tracks supervised by former national coaches. Annual fees of ₹4.5 – 7 lakhs include coaching and sports-science support.
The 400-bed hostel is organised into “Green Houses,” each a solar-powered LEED-Platinum block built of locally sourced stone and eucalyptus. Organic meals are grown on a 10-acre student-tended farm; waste is processed in an in-house biogas plant.
Since 2020, OSOIS runs its award-winning “One Village, One Miracle” outreach: students rewrite the curriculum of adopted government schools and coach peers in robotics and financial literacy. The impact has earned the school the UN SDG-Education Champion Award (2022) and a special consultative status with the UN ECOSOC.
In essence, Om Shanti Om International School is where traditional shlokas echo in next-generation AI labs, and children step out not only college-ready but world-ready, carrying with them the peace of Om, the courage to innovate and the mandate to serve.
