Mother’s Pride is a pioneering pre-school chain headquartered in New Delhi that has, since 1996, re-defined early childhood education in India. Founded by renowned educationist Mrs. Sudha Gupta, the school was born out of a conviction that the first six years of life are the most fertile for cognitive, social and emotional growth, and therefore deserve a philosophy that treats each child as a “budding star and not just a roll number.” Today, more than 95 branches across Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan translate this vision into daily practice, serving over 35,000 children aged 2-5.

The architecture of every campus is deliberately non-formal and child-scaled: pastel colour palettes, curved walls, rubber-matted play decks, puppet theatres, ball pools, sand pits and splash pools create a ‘home away from home’. At the heart of the pedagogy is the proprietary “EduTainment” curriculum that interlaces Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences, Reggio Emilia’s project approach and India’s National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Instead of phonetic drills or rote counting, toddlers explore phonics through music and movement, grasp early numeracy in bakeries and market stalls set up on role-play days, and unlock scientific curiosity in discovery labs stocked with magnifiers, magnets and safe chemistry sets. A single day may flow from yoga-and-story in the morning, to outdoor obstacle courses, to self-selection art stations, always guided by a teacher-to-child ratio that never exceeds 1:10.

Parent partnership is formalised and celebrated. The “Mum & Me” orientation weekend, monthly portfolio viewings and a real-time mobile app feed— complete with photographs, milestone trackers and gentle next-step suggestions— ensure parents continue the learning arc at home. Special education counsellors, speech therapists and child nutritionists are on call at the central helpline, giving the franchise network the muscle of a unified corporate back-end while preserving local sensitivity.

Annual events such as Oorja (sports day designed like mini Olympics), the Grand Annual Concert staged at Siri Fort Auditorium, and community drives for under-privileged crèches integrate life-skills and value education. Graduation day is no mere certificate ceremony: children script their own skits, design digital invites and learn to hold a mike confidently— miniature life lessons that pay dividends in formal school interviews.

Over 27 years, Mother’s Pride has incubated alumni who now ace in IITs, Ivy League colleges and the Indian Performing Arts circuit, but the true metric of success remains the tearful bear-hug a former student gives to the didi at the gate— testimony that its cradle of love and discovery never truly lets go.
