Metro Hospital
HCMP+485, Amrapali Leisure Valley, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh 201009, India
Metro Hospital is a 350-bed multispecialty tertiary-care facility that began serving the National Capital Region in 1997. Founded by a consortium of leading cardiologists and healthcare entrepreneurs, the hospital occupies a modern, purpose-built complex in Noida Sector 11, spread over 4 acres with direct metro connectivity (Noida Sector 11 station is a 3-minute walk). Strategically located on the Capital-UP border, it caters to urban and semi-urban populations within a 30-minute radius, while its Green Corridor protocols link it to Delhi’s IGI Airport (45 minutes) for organ-transplant logistics.
The clinical portfolio comprises more than 45 superspecialties anchored by nationally recognized institutes: Metro Heart Institute with Vascular Surgery, Metro Cancer Institute, Metro Women & Child Institute, Metro Neurosciences & Spine Centre, and Metro Institute of Renal Sciences & Kidney Transplant. The hospital performed NCR’s first robotic mitral-valve replacement in 2018, and the kidney-transplant team pioneered fully laparoscopic live-donor nephrectomy with regional hypothermia in 2021. Other flagship services include Level III NICU, ECMO, Total Body PET-CT, 3T intra-operative MRI with neuronavigation, and an intra-hospital cyclotron for therapeutic isotopes.
Over 180 full-time consultants—many trained in the U.S., U.K., and Australia—practice alongside 400 resident doctors and 1,100 nurses. Faculty lead research programmes in oncology, stroke, and interventional cardiology, holding more than 50 active clinical trials funded ICMR, DBT, or Gates Foundation each year, with access to a 4,000 sq ft GLP-certified molecular research lab and data lake that insure compliance with HIPAA and GDPR. The academy is accredited for DNB in 11 specialties and runs a partnership residency with University College London.
Accreditations include NABH, NABL, Green OT certification, and NABH-Nursing excellence. Quality dashboards benchmark outcomes through STS (surgery), JCI International Patient Safety Goals, and ICMR death-audits; SSI rates are <0.3 % for cardiac surgery, and palliative-care consults occur within 24 h post-admission in oncology.
The campus employs LEED-Gold architecture: 42 % open space, 100 % solar water heating, and 65 % effluent recycling, including STP plus RO units irrigating rooftop kitchen gardens supplying 30 % of in-hospital salads. Digital touchpoints include bedside EMR, e-pharmacy in Hindi / English, tele-ICU extending to four satellite spokes, and AI-integrated nurse-call analytics that have reduced fall rates by 38 % since 2022.
Community outreach covers 160 villages through weekly satellite OPDs, with mobile cardiac cath labs and a fleet of six tele-echo vans. Menstrual-health camps reach 25,000 adolescent girls annually, while the grant-funded “Metro Chiranjeevi” robotic-cardiac programme offers discounted paediatric surgeries to PwD card holders. The hospital also partners with National Organ & Tissue Transplant Organisation on public-awareness campaigns, adding 18,000 DMV pledges in FY 2023.
Financially, Metro operates on a cross-subsidisation model: 55 % patients use cashless insurance, 20 % Ayushman Bharat, 12 % CGHS/ ECHS, and 13 % private payers, keeping bed-occupancy at 82 % while sustaining net-margin of 6.7 %. The CSR arm allocates INR 22 crores annually for charitable surgeries, community nutrition, medical-skill fellowships, and disaster-response reserves.
