Kapil Hospital
Goyal Colony, Salarpur Khadar, Noida, Uttar Pradesh 201304, India
Kapil Hospital is a 210-bed multi-speciality tertiary-care centre located in the heart of South-East Delhi, just off the busy Mehrauli–Badarpur Road. Founded in 1998 by the Kapil Charitable Trust—an NGO that began as a tuberculosis sanatorium in the 1960s—the hospital has grown from a small 40-bed nursing home to a fully NABH-accredited facility serving more than 3.5 lakh out-patients and nearly 18,000 in-patients every year. Its guiding philosophy, “Heal with Heart and Science,” is reflected in the deliberate blend of cutting-edge technology and compassionate care that greets patients at every step.
The hospital’s five-storey structure houses six modular operating theatres (including two robot-assisted suites), a 32-bed Level-III NICU, a 24-bed dialysis unit and the only intra-operative MRI in the district. Cardiac services constitute the flagship programme: a 24/7 cath-lab performs an average of 180 angioplasties a month, while the cardiothoracic team completes six to eight coronary bypasses daily with outcomes that match European benchmarks. Oncology, neurology, orthopaedics and gastroenterology are the other centres of excellence; the recently commissioned TrueBeam STx linac makes stereotactic radiosurgery available within 48 hours of diagnosis for eligible patients.
A teaching collaboration with the University College of Medical Sciences turns every corridor into a classroom; 75 post-graduate residents, 30 super-speciality fellows and 120 nursing trainees receive practical training under full-time consultants. Despite the academic bustle, patient flow is smoothened by an AI-enabled queue-management and e-pharmacy system that has cut average registration time to under six minutes. All beds are RFID-tagged for real-time location tracking, ensuring an immediate response during emergencies.
Kapil Hospital also recognises healthcare as a social contract. Twenty-five percent of beds are reserved for economically weaker sections at government-notified rates, while the “Saksham” project provides free cleft-lip surgeries to children from six neighbouring states. A mobile digital mammography van covers 220 villages every year, offering screening and same-day tele-consultation with onco-radiologists at base. These outreach efforts have repeatedly earned the hospital the Delhi Healthcare Social Impact Award.
Patient experience is curated at the micro-level: air-conditioned general wards keep temperatures between 24 °C and 26 °C; every alternate bed has a foldable couch for attendants; and multilingual diet counsellors design meal plans that respect cultural and religious preferences. A rooftop solar array supplies 42 % of the hospital’s power needs, while grey-water recycling reduces daily consumption by 70,000 litres, signalling a commitment to sustainability alongside clinical excellence.
Whether it is a complex paediatric liver transplant or routine day-care chemotherapy, Kapil Hospital delivers evidence-based, affordable care that Delhi’s heterogeneous population can trust.
