K.R. Mangalam World School is a progressive, co-educational day school founded in 2004 under the aegis of the K.R. Mangalam Group, a Delhi-based conglomerate with deep roots in education, real-estate and hospitality. The school’s motto, “Together Towards Tomorrow,” signals its commitment to blend Indian cultural values with global pedagogies. It is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) up to the Senior Secondary level and offers the Science, Commerce and Humanities streams in Classes XI–XII.
The campus spreads over 8 acres in the heart of South Delhi’s Greater Kailash-II neighbourhood. Academic blocks are Wi-Fi enabled and house 75 smart classrooms, six science laboratories, two ATL (Atal Tinkering Labs) for robotics and 3-D printing, a language resource centre and a dedicated mathematics lab. The library is a two-storey, glass-fronted structure with 30,000 volumes, Kindle stations and a quiet reading mezzanine.
Sports infrastructure is extensive: an all-weather 400 m athletic track, a FIFA-standard football field, two FIBA-certified basketball courts, a half-Olympic-size swimming pool, a 10 m air-rifle shooting range and an indoor hall for badminton, table-tennis and yoga. A 24-station gym and a climbing wall complete the fitness programme.
The school is recognised as a Microsoft Showcase School and uses the Flip-Grid–Teams ecosystem for blended learning. Coding is introduced from Grade 1 through Scratch and progresses to Python and AI modules by Grade 8. Students annually win awards at the IRIS National Science Fair and the CBSE National ICT Awards.
Co-curricular life is driven by 18 student-led clubs—Model UN, Astronomy, Street Theatre, Financial Literacy and the Green Brigade among them. The annual inter-school fest “Euphoria” attracts 60+ schools across Delhi-NCR. The school is a member of the Round Square network and runs exchange programmes with partner schools in Germany, Canada and Singapore.
Pastoral care is anchored in a house system of four vertical houses—Agni, Prithvi, Jal and Vayu—each mentored by a resident counsellor and a team of 12 teacher-guardians. A life-skills curriculum designed with Fortis Hospital addresses adolescent mental health, while the SEN (Special Educational Needs) cell supports students with learning differences.
The faculty of 180 includes 30 PhD holders and 50 CBSE master trainers. The teacher-student ratio is 1:15. Continuous professional development is ensured through tie-ups with Harvard’s Project Zero and the University of Melbourne.
In the 2023 board examinations, the school recorded a 100 % pass rate with 72 % of students scoring above 90 % in the aggregate. Alumni occupy places at IITs, NID, Ashoka University, King’s College London and the University of California campuses.
