JR Hospital is a 500-bed tertiary-care center located in the heart of Bangalore’s Jayanagar hub, making it one of the most accessible, multi-disciplinary facilities in South India. Established in 1986 by the visionary physician-entrepreneur Dr. J. Ravindranath (after whom the hospital is named), JR Hospital has grown from a 30-bed nursing home into a sprawling medical complex that integrates cutting-edge technology with compassionate, patient-centric care.
Accredited thrice by NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals) and NABL for its clinical laboratories, the hospital operates under a “One-Campus, Total-Care” model. Infection control is engineered into the building—antimicrobial copper surfaces in ICU clusters, laminar-flow theatres with real-time particulate counters, and whole-genome sequencing of resistant organisms within 36 hours.
Wellness and prevention are wrapped into the design. A glass-walled rooftop outpatient gym, cardiac rehab track, and on-site diet-café complement the Friday farmers’ market run by organic cooperatives.
