G.D. Goenka Public School, founded in 1982, stands today in Sector 9, Rohini, Delhi, as a lush, fully air-conditioned 3.25-acre campus that hosts 4,050 students and 250 trained teachers. The four-storey structure is organised into an Early-Years block (Pre-Nur–KG), a Primary wing (I–V) and Senior wings (VI–XII), with dedicated elevators for primary children and wheelchair access across all floors and labs.

Academics follow the CBSE curriculum to its highest standards. From Class VI onward each child receives an iPad loaded with Pearson-integrated digital texts; coding is introduced in Grade IV using Scratch and Python is compulsory from Grade VI. The school is a certified Cambridge English Assessment Centre, runs an in-house ATAL Tinkering Lab and hosts NTA/JEE/NEET coaching after school in collaboration with Aakash.

Teaching is delivered through 95 smart classrooms, three resource centres and four state-of-the-art language labs with Sanako headsets. AI-enabled CCTVs monitor classrooms and provide analytics for differentiated instruction. The 400-seat auditorium features a robotic lighting system used for the annual inter-school “Genesis” festival and the much-awaited Model UN. Wi-Fi is available everywhere, while TATA power backup guarantees 100 % electricity continuity.

Sporting infrastructure is a highlight: a FIFA-spec 90 m AstroTurf football field, a half-Olympic 25 m heated swimming pool, five basketball courts (two indoor wooden, three acrylic), ten FIBA-approved practice courts plus a shooting range under the supervision of ex-national coach Col. Chand. The school fields 38 school teams that have won 130+ DSA medals in 2023. Junior and Senior gyms with Life Fitness equipment encourage daily fitness, while trained dieticians design weekly menus for the canteen and hostels.

Over 100 clubs operate on Wednesday “Skill Fridays”—Robotics, Design Thinking, Vedic Maths, Financial Literacy, Kathak, Hindustani Vocal and Equestrian among them. The school is the only CBSE campus in Delhi certified for PADI open-water scuba training at the Andamans. More than 60 overseas exchange slots are offered annually through partnerships with Aiglon College (Switzerland) and St. Paul’s (USA).

Safety is paramount: RFID ID cards carry NFC money wallets; paediatricians and two ambulances are on site 24×7. The entire campus is a plastic-free zone with RO plants and a biogas unit in the organic kitchen garden that herbs the canteen meals. A stringent Life-Skills programme with school counsellors and child psychologists supports SEL.

Results speak volumes—In CBSE 2023 the mean score was 92.6 % with 73 centums; 64 students joined IITs, 77 entered NEET and 21 received Oxbridge offers. Holistic growth is celebrated: dancers have performed at Rashtrapati Bhavan, and the school’s “Mission RAKSHA” raised ₹1.02 crore last year for acid-attack survivors.
