Dipakshi Hospital is a 225-bed multi-specialty tertiary-care facility located on the eastern ring-road belt of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Founded in 2010 by the Dipakshi Medical Trust—a not-for-profit charitable body led by Dr. Vinay Pathak and three senior physicians from King George Medical University (KGMU)—the hospital was conceived to bridge urban tertiary care with semi-urban family practice. The 2.8-acre campus combines four heritage bungalows that were converted into outpatient blocks with a 12-storey central tower added in 2015 to house the inpatient wards and critical-care services.

Accredited by NABH since 2018 and re-graded “Green OT Platinum” by the Indian Green Building Council, the hospital operates 24/7 with one of the youngest yet most comprehensive neonatal ICUs in eastern Uttar Pradesh (Level IIIB, 18 beds, <500 g survival record). Cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery remain centre capacities, running a daily turnover exceeding 35 interventional procedures and 5 open-heart surgeries. A 120-slice cardiac CT was installed in 2022, reducing average “door-to-balloon” time to 34 minutes. Robotic-assisted knee arthroplasties are performed under the guidance of visiting consultants from Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital; more than 400 such procedures have been completed since 2021 with a 98 % implant survival at two years. Maternal health is another flagship. The “Mamta Express” mobile antenatal screening van reaches surrounding villages twice weekly, providing ultrasound and blood work at no cost; 15,500 women have been enrolled in the hospital’s anemia-corrective program. Endocrinology offers on-site continuous glucose monitoring and operates a Type-1 diabetes transition clinic for adolescents. Radiologysuite comprises 1.5 Tesla MRI, 128-slice CT, twin-room DSA, high-end PET-CT leased in partnership with Mahajan Imaging (since 2023), and a terahertz spectroscopy unit for non-invasive skin-cancer screening (first in North India). A 24-bed dialysis bay uses online hemodiafiltration (HDF) and accepts cross-infection risk cases from adjacent prisons; monthly charity sessions exceed 400 runs. In-patient services are split across deluxe, private, twin-sharing and general wards. The “Amma Ward” offers free admission to female patients above the age of 65 with chronic pain conditions. Digital queuing and QR-coded health lockers launched in 2024 allow patients to store 50 GB lifetime medical records. Payment support: 28 % of annual revenue is earmarked for free or highly subsidized care through the state’s Ayushman Bharat and the hospital’s own Poorvanchal Sahyog fund. Faculty and research: the hospital is a DNB-accredited teaching centre for post-graduate programs in internal medicine, anaesthesiology and emergency medicine. In 2023, the cardiology department published six abstracts in European Heart Journal; two水 clinical trials—on nano-encapsulated curcumin for heart-failure recovery—are underway under ethics approval from ICMR. The on-campus Simulation Lab houses a $140,000 high-fidelity SimMan 3G manikin, training 150 paramedics per year.
