Delhi Public School is a flagship co-educational day-cum-boarding school under the aegis of the Delhi Public School Society, established with a founding unit in 1949 at Mathura Road, New Delhi. Today the brand comprises more than 200 branches across India and abroad, yet every campus shares a common charter: to provide holistic, English-medium education rooted in Indian values with a global outlook.

The original and largest campus—Delhi Public School, Mathura Road—occupies 22 acres in the heart of the capital. Its infrastructure blends heritage buildings with state-of-the-art facilities: 100-plus smart classrooms, discovery labs for robotics and 3-D printing, thirteen science laboratories, four libraries housing 100,000 volumes, a fine-arts complex with pottery and textile studios, and two auditoria (800 and 400 seats). Sports facilities include a 400-metre synthetic track, an Olympic-size swimming complex, five flood-lit tennis and basketball courts, and indoor arenas for badminton, gymnastics, and shooting range. Boarding is offered for boys and girls in separate, air-conditioned residences with 24-hour medical care.

The curriculum, affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education till Grade XII and enriched by Cambridge checkpoint programme up to Grade VIII, offers Science, Commerce and Humanities streams with electives such as Artificial Intelligence, Legal Studies, Fashion Technology and Mass Media. Over 200 students score above 95 per cent in the Board aggregate annually; roughly 40 per cent pursue STEM careers and 20 per cent join Ivy League or Russell Group universities. Competitive-exam coaching for JEE-Main, NEET, CLAT and SAT is integrated after school hours.

Co-scholastic life is equally intense. Every child chooses a sport and a performing art that is timetabled daily; the school fields 35 inter-house and 48 inter-school teams, producing national-level swimmers, cricketers and shooters. Its Model United Nations conference, DPSMUN, is among Asia’s largest with 1,500 delegates from 25 countries; the DebSoc, Odyssey Quiz society and Space-Technology Club have won national championships. Fifty student-led social-impact projects operate around the year—ranging from rural literacy to mental-health campaigns—supported by an institutional partnership with the UN Global Compact.

The 400-member faculty includes 62 Ph.D. holders and CBSE master-trainers; continuous professional development averages 120 hours per year. Student–teacher ratio is maintained at 12:1 with dedicated pastoral mentors for every 25 pupils. Admission to Nursery (EWS categories via lottery, general seats via point system) happens annually in January; tuition for day scholars is ₹1.8 lakh per annum, and hostel charges run to ₹3.25 lakh, exhaustive of board, laundry and activity fees.
