Dance & Fitness Point
Sector, Block C, Gamma 1, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh 201310, India

Dance & Fitness Point stands at 127 Lexington Avenue, occupying a refreshed warehouse only a few yards from the subway in Queens — a single flight above the organic grocer whose bass you can already feel when you check in at the sidewalk door. Once inside, a short ramp leads past a small juice bar (daily kale-cucumber-ginger shots are $4) and into a 1,800-square-foot black-box studio whose matte-sprung floor, 18-foot ceilings, and adjustable LED rig turn the room from yoga zen to nightclub in under twenty seconds. Mirrored walls can slide back to expose a block-long graffiti mural that local street artists repaint every quarter; between partial reflection and the exposed brick on the flip side, the space literally changes shape with every class change-over.

Weekday mornings (6:30 a.m.–9:30 a.m.) belong to low-impact formats: sunrise vinyasa, barre-hip-hop fusion, and “Reset & Rise,” a 45-minute dynamic-stretch circuit designed for the commuter crowd. Afternoons pivot to children’s programs—Creative Movement for 3-to-5-year-olds and Junior Urban Choreo for tweens—complete with a lobby trophy wall for little dancers who win regional hip-hop battles. Evenings explode with six signature tiers: Fire Soca, a high-cardio Caribbean regimen; AfroRhythm HIIT, which interlaces West African footwork with kettlebell bursts; and Cardio-Heels, where participants strap on 4-inch stilettos for strength drills choreographed to Beyoncé and Ivy Queen. All sessions finish with two minutes of guided breathing under soft purples, then a communal high-five circle—ritual is king here.

The instructors rotate weekly to keep routines fresh. Founding director Leah “Phoenix” Rivera (So You Think You Can Dance top-20, Nike Master Trainer) oversees the roster personally and teaches every Thursday at 7 p.m. Guests often see visiting choreographers from the Rockettes or Broadway workshops passing through master classes posted only 24 hours in advance on the Instagram story. Every Saturday night at 9 p.m., the mirrors get black-draped, a guest DJ plugs into the Funktion-One stack, and Dance & Fitness Point becomes a pop-up social named “Sweat & Set.” This members-only party starts with an instructor-led rundown of a trending routine, then flows into pure dance floor for two hours, complete with mocktail bar and anthem-request slips.

Locker rooms are unisex but compartmentalized by floor-to-ceiling cedar cubbies; showers stock eco-friendly refillable dispensers that current members vote on by scent. Towels are free, lockers use RFID bands, and a cold eucalyptus face towel awaits you on exit like a gentle slap after the final track. Drop-ins start at $28, but there’s also a bundled “Bridge & Burn” punch-card that crosses the studio with the attached physical-therapy clinic downstairs, letting athletes repair and rehearse under one roof.
