CRN Hospital
HFH2+G9J, Sector 2, Patwari, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh 201318, India
CRN Hospital, located in the rapidly expanding Medchal district of Hyderabad, is a 350-bed multi-specialty facility built around the core vision “care with compassion.” Established in 2007 by the health-focused Navodaya Foundation, the hospital initially existed as a modest 50-bed maternity and trauma centre. Through successive expansions in 2012, 2016 and 2021 it has evolved into the sprawling eight-storey complex that stands today, architecturally designed to admit natural light and green plants into every circulation area in order to reduce the clinical feel and promote faster healing.
Hospital ownership and governance sit with the Navodaya Foundation, a registered non-profit headed by Dr. Ramchand Nimmagadda, a liver-transplant surgeon trained at Addenbrooke’s, Cambridge. His 32-member governing board includes patient-rights advocates, public-health economists and bioethicists, ensuring a community-centric charter. Day-to-day management is entrusted to CEO Mr. V. Ravindra Reddy, an alumnus of Wharton and ex-faculty of Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. Under his stewardship, CRN has achieved both NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals) level and JCI (Joint Commission International) re-accreditations in 2019, the first full-service hospital in Telangana outside the old city to do so.
Clinical excellence is anchored in Centres-of-Excellence (CoE) clusters: a 24-chair dialysis unit with Fresenius 5008S machines and on-site water RO plant; a 50-cot Level-III Neonatal ICU that participates in the national Neo-Natal Research Network collecting data for pre-term survival studies; a cardiac-cath lab featuring Philips Azurion 7 C20 with IVUS/FFR; a 10-bed dedicated ECMO bay for severe respiratory failure; and the city’s first intra-operative MRI suite (IMRIS), jointly operated with the regional neurosurgery academy.
The full compendium of tertiary services runs 28 departments and more than 60 sub-specialties. Everyday volume metrics include 160 dialysis sessions, 90 surgeries under GA, 25 ICU admissions and close to 800 pharmacy prescriptions. Emergency is a 30-bed zone on the ground floor marked by a color-coded triage corridor. A 24/7 dedicated stroke code team can activate thrombolysis in < 35 minutes, benchmarked by an ISO-certified clock code. The hospital is empanelled with Telangana Government Arogya Sri, ESI, CGHS and 312 private TPAs, ensuring 93 % cashless coverage.
Human capital comprises 420 full-time clinicians—45 of them consultants with peer-reviewed publications in the last two years. Nursing strength is one per 2.8 beds, far exceeding Indian average. Training is conducted in-house: CRN College of Nursing (UG and PG) and CRN Paramedical Academy train 410 students annually under INC and Para-medical Board regulations. Continuing-ed credits for clinicians are delivered through a virtual campus leveraging a Harvard-Med-Inspired learning-management system.
Technology spine includes GE Unity PACS across imaging suites enabling zero-cassette workflow, ABBOTT Alinity for 26-parameter haematology and radio-frequency ID surgical-implant tracking. A patient mobile-app shows live OPD queue length, lab results and allows WhatsApp-pre-check-in; kiosks at the lobby print NFC-enabled wristbands within 15 seconds.
Community outreach runs four peripheral clinics, 32 rural health sub-centres and an ambulance fleet of 15 Basic-Life-Support and 6 Advanced-Life-Support units linked to Google-Maps telemetry. Annual free health camps screen over 22 000 slum dwellers for hypertension and diabetes, while school dental vans cover 150 government schools. CSR expenditure in FY 2023 totaled INR 3.7 crore, of which 78 % went to zero-cost treatment for Below-Poverty-Line families.
At CRN Hospital, therefore, world-class technology, academic rigor and clinical compassion merge into a single continuum of care aimed at restoring not just patients, but entire communities, to full health.
