CRH ENT, MRI & DIAGNOSTICS

Centrally located next to City Road Hospital on Ring-VI, New Delhi, CRH ENT, MRI & Diagnostics is a 110-bed multispecialty day-care facility recognised by NABH and INS. The hospital was founded in 2014 by Dr Chetan R. Harsh, a senior E.N.T. surgeon and former consultant at AIIMS, with the declared mission of making advanced ENT care and high-precision imaging available on a single, easily navigable campus.

Core clinical services are grouped into four verticals. The ENT centre runs Level-II otoneurosurgery theatres equipped with Carl Zeiss OPMI® Pentero microscopes, Medtronic NIM Eclipse® nerve monitoring and intraoperative navigation derived from the hospital’s O-arm cone-beeam CT. Subspecialty programmes include: cochlear & auditory brain-stem implantation, endoscopic anterior skull-base surgery using 3D-HD KARL STORZ systems, and robotic coblation tonsil and adenoid surgery in paediatric day-care cases. ENT is supported by a 12-bedded HDU with negative-pressure rooms dedicated to head-neck oncology and post-laryngectomy airway management.

The MRI division houses two state-of-the-art scanners: a Siemens Magnetom Aera 1.5 T and a GE SIGNA Premier 3 T with AIR Coil™ and SilentScan™. Both scanners operate from 07:00–23:00 with a unique “no waiting” slot for emergency ENT referrals. The unit is the first in North India to offer 3-min paediatric ENT protocols and DIVA (Diffusion-Weighted Inner-Ear Angiography) for early detection of endolymphatic hydrops.

Diagnostic departments overlap complementarily. A 128-slice CT and three high-end ultrasound machines (EPIQ CVx, Philips) handle temporal-bone motion studies, thyroid FNA and Sono-Hysterosalpingography. An endoscopy suite on the first floor performs trans-nasal oesophagoscopy, stitch-less DCR using optical fibre lasers, and office-based fibre-optic laryngoscopy under topical anaesthesia.

Inpatient workflow has been digitised through CRHLife EMR: patients receive RFID wristbands, real-time video updates on OT progress, and discharge summaries are auto-forwarded to referring GPs within 30 minutes of surgery. A 24-bed family accommodation annex with homestay-style suites is available for outstation cochlear-implant cases.

Affordability initiatives include a “Hear Now” program offering 30 % subsidy on cochlear implant package (device+Surgery+mapping) for children under 5 years, and weekend MRI slots at 15 % discount. Corporate tie-ins with Indian Oil, GAIL and the Delhi Police Health Scheme extend cashless empanelment to over 350 PSUs.

The hospital campus is smoke-free, barrier-free, and adheres to Green-OT norms—100 % STP recycling, LED lighting and a rooftop solar array of 75 kW that offsets 22 % of daily load. Air-handling units provide 95 % filtration through HEPA-14 to minimise peri-operative infection. All patient elevators are ISO-certified for emergency cardiac trolleys.
