Assisi Convent School, founded in 1955, is a Catholic institution owned and administered by the Sisters of the Franciscan Clarist Congregation. Affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi (CBSE/1030009) until grade 12, the school serves boys and girls, but adopts a girls-only policy from grade 6 onward. Its vision is to form “women of substance” nourished on the dimensions of character and competence shown by Christ, St Francis of Assisi and Blessed Mother Veronica of the Passion.
The eight-acre campus on Sector 33, Noida Expressway, is built around an eco-sensitive mango grove. Trees shade outdoor classrooms and playgrounds that spread over large open grounds. Daily assemblies, inter-house cultural competitions and a fortnightly Mass use the 800-seat auditorium-Spacious, St Francis Hall. ICT-enabled academic blocks house 45 well-lit classrooms, three science laboratories (physics, chemistry, biology) and one composite junior lab. Apple-supported Mac mini labs and a fully automated library with Over-drive access to international periodicals support technology-rich learning; Atal Tinkering Labs, robotics studio and Cambridge Young Learner Centre extend research skills.
Sports include basketball, lawn tennis, skating rink, swimming, taekwondo, chess and athletics, each coached after school until 4.45 p.m. The school fields over 125 inter-CBSE tournament athletes and hosts its three-day Assisi Fest to showcase national champions, and the Scouts and Guides cadet corps links students with social responsibility programmes. Value education across all classes embeds dignity, integrity and national pride; daily meditation, yoga, community outreach, and an annual Haemoglobin Day blood-donation drive institutionalise the Franciscan thrust. Clubs like Environment, MUN, Dramatics, Shakespeare Studio, Graphic Design and Debating offer 20+ co-curriculars that culminate in week-long exhibitions and inter-city competitions; the school publishes tri-lingual journals “Assisi Echoes” and every class produces a digital wall paper.
Internationally benchmarked pedagogy includes Cambridge ESOL certification (from grade 3), and students regularly appear among CBSE national merit. Recent success rates: grade X, 100% first-division, 83% distinction; grade XII, 100% pass, 74% above 90%. Nearly 170 alumni study in Ivy League and Russell Group universities annually.
Admission runs from November to March (grades Nursery to IX) and is based on lottery/e-counselling for transparency. Annual uniform fee and structure modest, with scholar-ships for meritorious and girl-child empowerment. Transport covers five states and the Boarding House for grades XI-XII is under construction.
Managed by the Governing Body of the FCC sisters, the school is responsive to local community needs yet aspires to global standards: its mission is to equip young learners to “walk lightly upon the earth and exude love in every sphere.”
