Yashoda Hospital & Research Centre is one of the largest and most trusted multi-specialty tertiary care groups in northern India, operating three flagship hospitals in the National Capital Region—Ghaziabad’s Nehru Nagar, Kaushambi, and Sector-III Vaishali—along with satellite centres in Uttar Pradesh. Established in 2006 under the Yashoda Super-Specialty Hospitals Pvt. Ltd. banner, the group now commands more than 1,600 beds collectively, more than half of them ICU capable, and serves an annual outpatient volume exceeding 1.2 million.
The Nehru Nagar campus, known as Yashoda Superspecialty Hospital or “Y-Block,” is a 300-bed NABH- and NABL-accredited landmark at the gateway to Delhi. From 12 world-class modular operating theatres—four of them robotic-enabled with Da Vinci Xi systems—to the region’s first dedicated endoscopic skull-base unit and northern India’s largest department of medical oncology, every space is designed around patient safety and therapeutic efficiency. MRI and CT suites utilise 3 Tesla, 128-slice technologies and a 64-inch digital Cath lab processes more than 1,600 angioplasties every year, including complex structural heart procedures.
The Kaushambi facility, located beside the Delhi-Ghaziabad metro terminus, centres on cardiac sciences, orthopaedics and robotic joint replacement. It houses the Indian Orthopaedics Research Cell, where surgeons develop indigenous implant designs and train fellows from 17 countries. An adjoining physical medicine centre offers advanced hydrotherapy pools and robotic gait-trainer Lokomat systems. Over 3,000 robotic/partial knee and hip replacements have been performed since 2018, achieving zero infection rates.
The Vaishali centre functions as a comprehensive cancer and transplant hub. A Level-III blood bank and the region’s largest HEPA-filtered bone-marrow transplant wards serve 400 autologous and allogeneic procedures annually, while a cadaveric organ retrieval centre has yielded more than 180 kidneys, 60 livers and 25 hearts since 2017. Paediatric and adult ECMO programmes operate round-the-clock, supported by transplant-critical ICU staff trained at Pittsburgh and Seoul.
Across all campuses, recognising technology alone is insufficient, Yashoda enforces transparent “One Patient-One File” digital records, paperless medication systems and nurse-to-patient ratios that never fall below 1:4 in critical care. The hospitals’ 200-bed free and subsidised ward treats nearly 14,000 economically weaker patients yearly, funded through CSR. Nightingale School of Nursing, physiotherapy Bachelors and Masters programmes and a 20-seat DNB-accredited teaching academy feed the majority of staff positions internally, ensuring continuity of care and culture.
Yashoda’s Institute of Research & Clinical Excellence publishes nearly 400 peer-reviewed papers yearly, hosts Phase-II to Phase-IV trials in oncology, cardiology and metabolic disorders and operates a tele-ICU network linking 28 peripheral district hospitals across Uttar Pradesh. Recognised with the FICCI Healthcare Award for Patient Safety (2022) and attributed by Newsweek as one of the world’s best-specialty hospitals (Cardiac surgery category 2023), the group continues to innovate with cardiology second-opinion apps, AI-assisted radiology tools, and a state-of-the-art proton-beam therapy project slated for 2025.
