Sai Hospital, a full-fledged 150-bed multispeciality centre in the heart of North Bengaluru, has been redefining affordable, world-class healthcare since its inception in 2008. Strategically located on NH-44 near the Yelahanka Railway Station bus hub, the hospital is a 35-minute drive from the Kempegowda International Airport and easily accessible by BMTC buses and the upcoming Yellow Line Metro (Yelahanka Station). The modern six-level structure combines earthy stone, glass and abundant natural light, creating a calm, welcoming ambience from the moment one steps into its skylit atrium.

Round-the-clock services begin with a fleet of nine GPS-equipped Advanced Life Support ambulances operating out of six peripheral hubs, guaranteeing average response times of less than 12 minutes inside the city limits. The 18-bed Level-IV Emergency and Trauma Centre is staffed by a team of 25 physicians certified in ATLS and ACLS, supported on-site by anaesthetists, intensivists and surgeons from every superspeciality. A dedicated 32-slice CT, digital X-ray, ultrasound, point-of-care blood-gas and electrolyte analysers, and a massive blood bank component separator enable physicians to initiate definitive therapy within the famed “golden hour.”

The hospital’s 48-bed state-of-the-art ICU—divided into medical-surgical, cardiac, neuro and neonatal zones—incorporates Philips bedside monitors, Edwards haemodynamic analysers and volumetric ventilators with high-flow nasal cannula capability. A unique Nightingale “Intensive Nurse” programme assigns each ventilated patient a single trained nurse, dramatically reducing ICU infections and improving survival data that regularly surpass NABH benchmarks. Complementing these are 10 modular operating theatres; three are HEPA-filtered for joint replacements, while another three are hybrid vascular cath-labs interfaced digitally with the radiology PACS.

More than 50 superspecialities thrive under a single roof. Cardiology performs 700 angioplasties a year with >96 % door-to-balloon times under 60 minutes. Cardio-thoracic surgeons have completed 1,800 beating-heart surgeries with mortality figures comparable to North American standards. Neurology offers thrombolysis, mechanical clot retrieval, DBS for Parkinson’s, and awake craniotomies performed under fMRI guidance. Gastroenterology carries out ERCP for stone extraction and complex pancreatic stenting, while the first Da Vinci Xi robotic system in North Bangalore handles minimally invasive prostatectomy, colorectal resections and supra-major gynaecologic oncology procedures. High-risk obstetrics, including fetal echocardiography, intrauterine transfusion and cervical cerclage programmes, has helped the perinatal unit achieve a 340-gram-survival record for pre-term neonates.

Diagnostic precision is supported 24×7 by Siemens 3 T Skyra MRI, 128-slice cardiac CT, 4-D ultrasound with elastography, foetal MRI, 3-D mammography and the city’s third PET-CT with perfusion imaging. The in-house NABL-accredited central laboratory provides 850+ tests, complete with laser flow cytometry, capillary electrophoresis and molecular PCR—including the latest testing protocols for SARS-CoV-2 and Monkeypox.

Pharmacy services extend beyond the dispensing counter; pharmacists-rounding models have lowered adverse drug events by 28 %. A 70-seater education centre streams CME sessions live to district hospitals across North Karnataka. Visiting privileges from empanelled insurers, CGHS, ECHS and Ayushman Bharat help ensure transparent, cashless treatment packages.
